Big news, and for once we're allowed to say it out loud: we're in the FabFitFun Fall Box.
If you know FabFitFun, you already get why we're excited. If you don't: it's a seasonal box of full-size products that shows up at over a million doorsteps — and this fall, some of those doorsteps are getting a little pretti.cool in the mix. Not bad for a small studio in Houston.
Honest backstory: we've been looking for the right project to do together for years — a small handmade studio and a million boxes is a fun puzzle to solve. This fall, we finally found it: meet the tortoiseshell collection.
One more honest note: these are glass and ceramic, made overseas with FabFitFun's manufacturing partners — a first for us. Our concrete is still hand-cast in Houston. Consider this the fancy cousin who studied abroad.
Meet the Tortoiseshell Collection
Glossy, amber, spotted like your coolest aunt's sunglasses. Two tumblers that make iced coffee feel like a plan and water feel like a choice. A Tortoiseshell Oil Cruet for the olive oil you actually use. Lives next to the stove, but nice enough to bring to the table. A Tortoiseshell Serving Bowl that Jeff and I have personally been using for months, kept as a centerpiece on our dining table, filled with fresh fruit.
The fall box situation
The Fall Box is fully customizable and valued at up to $350 depending on what you pick — and our tortoiseshell pieces are right in the middle of a very autumn spread. It's a good-looking box. We keep opening the photos just to look at it.
