Happy Spring, Folks

Not sure how we’re already halfway through April already, but here we are!

We’re already dreading the summer heat and looking for opportunities to not be here from June-August…however(!) if you find yourself needing a hotel in Houston starting May 12th, might we suggest The Greenleigh? We were asked to design and produce some custom items for their guest rooms, which is why we initially created the ice bucketsice bucket traysdecorative trays, and tissue box covers. It was a huge and exciting project for us, and — aside from the state of our backs after boxing up the order in something like 400 cartons(!) a few weeks ago — we couldn’t be more excited to be included in such a beautiful, new project in our hometown.

We’re lucky to have some of the friendliest studio neighbors! We ran out of space while boxing up the order and were able to store part of it in our friend Anne’s studio — hence the oil paintings you can see on the left.

In other news, we need to do some spring cleaning, and it’s been a while since we did a sale. For a limited time, you can shop our spring cleaning sale with prices marked up to 30% off this collection and save an additional 20% off sale with code SPRINGCLEANING.

Love ya,

The $17 Duck Lamp That Won Over Wirecutter

It's a lamp. It's also a duck. More fundamentally, it’s a deceptively simple symbol of impossibly complex and destabilizing truths, a physical manifestation of the “This Is Fine” dog, an all-too-real tribute to the unfathomable weight that bears down upon each of us....

Hanging Up

If decreasing dependence on our phones feels impossible, we might benefit from considering what we’d want to fill the space that they occupy.

Sticky Miso Salmon Bowl

This has become a family fave — it’s so easy to scale, it’s a meal in a bowl, and everyone can choose their own adventure with how they want to top it.

Our Edits

I think that the rice needs a little salt for flavor, but perfect, otherwise! Both Jeff and I like adding avocado, radishes, cucumbers, chili crisp, and Bachan’s Yuzu Citrus Japanese BBQ Sauce. (I also really like adding kimchi and nori, if you’re into that!)
